About Us

We are a group of dedicated youth, empowered by the idea that we can make a difference.

Climate change is affecting us now. As young people, it is our duty to innovate and improve issues that contribute to climate change. At Environment STA we take time to spark creative and innovative thinking by providing our school environment with tools to help out our community.

Our environmental club is founded on the belief that stewardship of the natural world is both a shared responsibility and a moral imperative. In the face of growing environmental challenges—such as climate change, habitat destruction, and pollution—we recognize the urgent need to protect and preserve the ecosystems that sustain all life. We are committed to raising awareness, promoting sustainable practices, and encouraging responsible action within our community. We believe that everyone has a role to play in safeguarding the environment, and through education, collaboration, and advocacy, we strive to inspire others to join us in creating a more sustainable and resilient future.

As a club, we actively engage in a variety of initiatives aimed at fostering environmental responsibility and community involvement. We organize tree-planting events to support reforestation and enhance local biodiversity. Our events are designed to educate and empower individuals with knowledge about sustainable living practices, such as reducing waste, conserving resources, and making environmentally conscious choices. We promote and facilitate recycling programs, including specialized efforts for e-waste disposal, to ensure harmful materials are properly managed. Additionally, we advocate for composting as a means of reducing organic waste and enriching soil health. Through regular community clean-up campaigns, we strive to create a cleaner, healthier environment for everyone. Together, these efforts reflect our commitment to making a tangible and positive impact on both our local and global environment.

Our club is located in London, Ontario at St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary School, under the London District Catholic School Board. Everyone is welcome to join, and we actively promote participation. Many different opportunities take place frequently.
